Today, it’s from PSL, my Fae Autumn Romance.
Before Scott took off for whatever he needed in the orchard, he paused and extended the crook of his elbow to me. “Shall we?”
Laughing, I took it. “This is the first time I’ve ever been escorted to an apple tree,” I said, following into his body’s pull. He wasn’t large by any means, but there was a weight to him I couldn’t explain. Like those black holes they’d talk about on the science channel. I feared if I didn’t keep my distance, I could be sucked in forever.
