“Hm, I just realized, there aren’t any ornaments for you,” he rumbled, his lips nearly whispering upon hers. Kristen didn’t mind about the tree. Her life was a classified file, best to not be remembered for reasons both painful and deadly. “I should get you something, before Christmas.”
“No.” She folded deeper into his embrace, not wanting to leave the warmth of his body. Dressing, walking the packed shopping centers, facing the bitter winds for a small bauble sounded too treacherous. Nuzzling against his chest, her palm caressing across his pec, she pleaded with him to stay.
