Six Sentence Sunday — Love’s Curse

Every Sunday I share Six Sentences from one of my books or current WIP

Today it’s from my hot new mummy romance, Love’s Curse.

Emma’s mouth opened wider, then kept going. When her shoulders rose to aid in the sucking down of air, Tarek slammed his palm over her mouth to stop the scream. It didn’t entirely muffle her—the woman had a good set of lungs—so he clamped his fingers tighter to her cheeks.

That set off a deep glare visible within the flickering light of his Zippo. “Have you accepted the reality?” Tarek asked slowly.

Emma spoke against his palm, smearing her lips over it even though doing that fully obscured her words.

He should be feeling the urge to wipe his palm off after that, but a thought flitted through his mind to smother her next scream with his lips.
