First Kiss Friday

First Kiss Friday

»»————- ♡ ————-««
Every Friday I share the first kiss from a book. This week it’s Ghost of a Gamble by J.E. McDonald.
Bree needs a job fast. When she lands a job with a ghost hunter, he threatens to upend her world.

Bree crawled slowly towards him, her neckline falling away from her body, exposing cleavage and a hint of white lace. His heart beat hard in his chest. He remained frozen, mesmerized by the intensity in her eyes, a deer in headlights. Closer and closer she got until her face filled his vision. Her arching eyebrows, high cheekbones, and wide lips—just plain beautiful. But no, nothing was plain about her.

“I’m going to kiss you.” She bit her bottom lip.

“Yeah, cool. That’s fine. Good. That’s good.”

She smiled, turned serious again, and grazed his lips with hers.

So soft. Her mouth tasted of sweets, her breath minty, and the combination hit him low in the stomach. His whole body hummed at the contact. The warmth that had started earlier turned into an inferno. His fingers dug into the rug beside his thighs, willpower the only thing stopping him from touching her. Bree’s tongue darted out, licking his bottom lip. His cock not only twitched, but stood at attention. Her mouth moved over his, touching and tasting, heat building between them.

She pulled away, examining his face. He waited. She brushed his lips, and he hung onto the rug for dear life, letting her lead this exploration—to figure out where they were headed. This time she pressed her lips against him more firmly. One of her hands crept up to touch his cheek. His skin tingled.

She kept her eyes open as she explored his lips and tongue, and he couldn’t look away. No other kiss he’d experienced had gotten this hot this fast, and he hung on for the ride.
When he couldn’t hold back any longer, his tongue danced with hers. She groaned encouragement, her eyes closing. He cradled her face with both hands, tracing the line of her jaw, experiencing the softness of her skin. Delicate. The light of the lamp made her look like she glowed. Zack closed his eyes and gave himself over to the moment.
