First Kiss Friday

First Kiss Friday

»»————- ♡ ————-««
Every Friday I share the first kiss from a book. This week it’s Blindsided by Angela Taylor.
Can one heated comment, a secret, a mistake and the truth threaten lives and destroy everything?

When he dipped his head toward hers, it was the hardest thing she’d done in a long time, not rising up to meet his lips. It seemed like an eternity before his mouth finally settled on hers, but once their lips touched, their breath mingled, time stood still.

Once again, she was amazed by the gentleness this large man possessed. His lips caressed hers, softly at first, then more firmly when she parted her own. His tongue slowly outlined her mouth, occasionally skimming her teeth, but never venturing past them. Finally, when she couldn’t stand it any longer, she reached a hand into his dark, wavy hair, pulled his mouth down solidly onto her own and thrust her tongue inside. He tasted like the peppermint candy he’d eaten while leaving the restaurant. Peppermint and heat seduced her senses.

Before she realized it was happening, Ash took control and deepened the kiss. She shivered when his tongue stroked hers and wrapped her free arm around the corded muscles of his neck. The movement pressed her breasts against the solid wall of his chest, and she moaned softly at the contact. Ash responded by drawing her body tightly against his own. She was enveloped by his warmth, his strength.

And even though she was standing in the middle of the sidewalk kissing a man she’d met barely twenty-four hours ago, a man she knew practically nothing about except for the fact he used to be on the SWAT team and didn’t like talking about it, she’d never felt safer in her entire life.
