Six Sentence Sunday — Drawing the Duke

Every Sunday I share Six Sentences from one of my books or current WIP

As the clocks fall backward, I wanted to highlight my Coven of Desire short story fall back in Drawing the Duke. It answers the question “What if Ink was a Regency Duke?”

“You move rather quickly, sir.”

His lips lifted in a smile that quickened my blood and my feet pinned to the ground. “Only a foolish hunter would wait overlong and lose his prey.”

“Do you take me for prey?” I scolded, before hearing the blank echo in my words. No one knew I was out here, the cacophony of cheer blanketing over my voice and any cries for help that might come.

To my relief, he did not lunge but parted his hands. “Do you wish to be?”

  1. Thanks for the link. Now that I’ve read Ink, the book that started it all, I’m bereft with no more Ink to sustain me without re-reading something. Now I’ve got a new tale staring that incorrigible demon lover. Woot!
