This week it’s from my HEA romance Pride & Pancakes.
Tristan’s an ex-teenage heartthrob turned recluse singer who’s trapped in a cabin with a reporter who’s trying to interview him. The acrimony flies between them instantly and maybe something more. Beth heads out to chop wood for the first and Tristan notices.
“What are you doing?” Tristan gasped.
She’d opened her coat as if the exercise inflamed her body. The crisp air flattened her pink silk tighter to the flexing chest and shoulders, revealing a hypnotic sway to her muscles. Pink scaled her cheeks, brightening her once dour expression as a smile flitted about her lips.
“Getting wood,” she said with a laugh.
