Six Sentence Sunday — Whisper

Every Sunday I share Six Sentences from one of my books or current WIP

Today it’s from Whisper, the third Coven of Desire book. Daniel’s pointed Layla and Ink where to find his body.

Daniel was laid to rest here. No, there was no resting for him. Someone dumped his body in a shallow ditch and let nature cover up the crime. They didn’t care if he received any closure or proper rights. He was nothing more than an inconvenience to them—trash in the backseat.

“Ink?” I asked through a prick of tears. “Finish unearthing him.”

“What do we say?” he responded in full ornery mode.

“Please.”

He snickered. “I’d prefer, ‘Once we’re finished you can sup upon my feminine delights,’ but please will work.”
