Can love beat the odds, or will the dice decide their fate? Expecting the usual entertainment at the local Nova Scotia exhibition, Charles Hazard is less than impressed by the secluded corn maze his long-time friend and secret crush, Tiffany, drags him to. The repulsive state of decay, and the creepy dummy guarding the entrance of the maze have Charles anxious to leave, but his sense of self-preservation wars with his desire to make Tiffany happy.
Tiffany Morrow doesn’t think much of the tarot card reading she had only days before the annual exhibition, and has all but forgotten the prophet’s words and how she drew the Death card when she comes across a spooky corn maze. There’s only one person she wants to explore the stalks with. She’s been in love with her best friend, Charles, for as long as she can remember. His level head, introverted tendencies, and unique ginger sexiness call to the most intimate parts of her.
Their fun quickly takes a dark turn when the maze morphs into a game of life or death. From a quiet sunflower field, to a treacherous walk across a volcano’s cone, to an encounter with a creature out of horror legends, each roll of the dice forces them to work as a team or perish in a way they most fear. Amidst the danger-filled labyrinth, they delight in small, stolen moments and find the soul mate they have been searching for. However, as with most games of chance performed at a devil’s will, there is more to this sport than there appears.
Could they really be the only ones within the walls of their confines, or are other creatures lurking? In a terrifying twist of fate, their chances at forever could be ripped away from them by a single roll of the dice… Victory may linger out of reach, and a curse of eternal agony and loneliness could be their fate. Or, just once, the dice might roll in their favor. But what are the odds of that? Eternity’s Gamble is a friends to lovers paranormal horror romance.

Eternity’s Gamble
Give us the one to two sentence tagline for your book.
Roll for your life…
What is your favorite scene/moment in your book?
My favorite is the scene where Tiffany meets Wanilnu at the fair and has her cards read.
How do you use magic in your book?
The characters never die despite going through several life threatening scenarios and how they keep moving to different rooms without actually walking into them.
Would your hero enjoy pumpkin spice lattes, candy corn, or apple bobbing?
Charles would probably enjoy a pumpkin spice latte. He’s on the quiet side.
What costume would your heroine wear to a halloween party?
Tiffany would definitely wear something flamboyant, like a glam devil costume.
What scene did you adore writing in this book?
I loved having the three angels interact with each other. It was a lot of fun to write.
Is this book a spooky/scary PNR, or a cozy/snuggling with a monster PNR?
It’s more of a scary PNR, it has a lot of horror elements in it.
If you had to pick, would you rather have fangs, claws, or wings?
Wings, so I could fly around to do housework and grocery shopping.
Halloween’s coming. Do you do anything special to celebrate?
I’m celebrating one year of Eternity’s Gamble and a new contemporary release in August.

Excerpt
They stood on something solid. Charles was grateful that whatever their next task was, they had gotten through the portal safely.
Their surroundings had gone from decent to awful. Sulphur gas burned his eyes, and there was a stench of heavy decay in the air, and a red glow around them, but he was able to make out details. Ahead of them was a bridge of wooden slats nailed together, the sides as high as his waist. It crossed a smoking gorge and was long enough the other side wasn’t visible from his vantage point. High rock walls surrounded them, and, when he looked upward, he noted they had a glass-like sheen. Touching the one to his right confirmed his visual observation. There was no way they would get a grip on that slick surface.
The door behind them snapped shut, hard, and when Tiffany tried opening it again, it
vanished with a loud pop and a cloud of dust. There went their way out. He cussed under his breath a few times and let out a long sigh. The wall behind them shifted, pushing them toward the overpass, and the haze in the chasm ahead parted, revealing what lay beneath the bridge.
Tiffany gasped as the black crust filled with glowing red cracks appeared. The lava lake explained the sulfur smell and the fog over it. He peered at the edges of the pool. Terror climbed up his spine as he glanced around and saw there was only one way across. The bridge. It looked somewhat safe from this angle. The boards appeared strong and sturdy, and it looked high enough to be secure.
With an inward curse, Charles chided himself on being too cautious again. Either they
crossed or they died. It was a no-brainer. He’d have to navigate it with Tiffany, even if it hadbeen nothing more than a rope that was about to snap.
