Today’s excerpt is from Badge where Cal and Ink are racing to try to rescue Layla from the witch hunters.
“What are you doing?” the wolf shouted into my ear.
Even with the flames licking up my fingers, I wouldn’t stop, using the ash of the rope to dismantle the wards. “Saving her!”
A hand slammed into my shoulder, pinning my arm to the side. The remains of the rope fell from my fingers and I stared at Calvin, who’d used his might to push me against the wall. “Will you calm the hell down?” he sputtered.
