He glanced over the appointment information and stuffed the paper into his pocket. “Listen, Belle. I need to make something clear. I want more than the baby—I want you—and I’m willing to wait. For now, I need this.” He pulled her close and kissed her. Her startled gasp traveled down his throat and quickened his heartbeat. Fuck, yes. The feel of her shorter frame against his taller one jolted heat through his veins. A faint hint of chocolate tinged her breath. Delicious. As she wrapped her arms around him, he backed her against the wall and feathered his lips down her neck. The organ between his legs throbbed for relief.

“Benji, wait.” She pushed on his shoulders.

He cursed and eased back. “I’ve wanted to do that since the night at the pub.”
